The Major Comment Sharon Stone Said about De Niro and Pesci

Many actors have worked with Sharon Stone over the years, many of whom have treated her poorly. It’s no surprise that some actors would be misogynistic. Out of all that she has worked with, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci were not those actors.

Stone recently appeared on Saturday Night Live, discussing the appearance and performance alongside singer Sam Smith with Variety. Her performance had her laying still until Smith started singing. Producer George C. Scott told Stone that “You’re the best listener I’ve ever worked with except for my wife.” This caused Sharon Stone to cry, as she has worked with quite a number of producers and actors who would tell her how she should act.

Stone with De Niro and Pesci

One role Sharon Stone recalled was the 1995 Martin Scorsese film Casino, which also starred Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. The movie followed both actors' lives as they own and run casinos together in Las Vegas in the 1970s and ‘80s.

"I've worked with some of the biggest stars in the business, who will literally talk through my close-up, telling me what they think I should do," she said. "They're so misogynistic,” she said in her interview with Variety Magazine.

"Now, that is not Robert De Niro. That is not Joe Pesci, that is not those guys," Stone stated about the two Italian actors.

Stone goes on to say that her statement of these opinions made her “not the most popular actor in town.”
