Seven murals and six Italian street artists were voted to be among the 100 most beautiful murals in the world for 2022. The program, organized by Street Art Cities, consisted of voting for various murals through an app that was available in 92 cities across 30 countries. Murals and artists hail from Malaysia, France and Ecuador to New Zealand, Russia and the United States, and the competition encompassed works of art painted in 2022. A full roster of the chosen murals and their artists can be browsed on the Street Art CIties website.
Once the top 100 are chosen, they are then whittled down to the top 10 before the winner is announced. One of Italy’s artists, JDL, has secured a place in the top 10 with a mural titled “love is stronger than death,” painted on a building on the island of Ischia, located just off the Neapolitan coast.
