Italian American Comedian Takes His Act to Las Vegas for New Netflix Special
Sebastian Maniscalco went for a vintage Las Vegas vibe on his new comedy special “Is It Me?” now streaming on Netflix.
Shot at the Wynn Las Vegas resort and casino, Maniscalco took the stage in a tuxedo to deliver his authentic style of humor, often with takes on the Italian American lifestyle.
“Is It Me?” Is Maniscalco’s fifth comedy special and his second with Netflix. In 2019, the online streaming service giant released the Chicago-based comedian’s “Stay Hungry” special. Prior to that, Maniscalco was the star of three specials that were available via DVD and streaming, including “Why Would You Do That?” (2016), “Aren’t You Embarrassed?” (2014), and “What’s Wrong with People?” (2012).
In January and May 2023, Maniscalco is in residency at the Wynn Las Vegas. He has also completed voice work for the new “Super Mario Bros. Movie” and “Transformers: Rise of the Beast,” both to be released in 2023.
In May of 2023, Maniscalco will play himself in “About My Father,” a comedy loosely based on his relationship with his father. The film will be directed by Laura Terruso and the screenplay is co-written by Maniscalco and Austen Earl. Maniscalco’s father will be played by Robert De Niro.
