Amazon Prime Video is releasing a three-part mini-series about “what it truly means to live like an Italian.” The star studded cast is teaming up for the newest celebrity led series titled “Live Italian.” Love Island host Maya Jama, ex-rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio and comedian Jack Whitehall will take you through their respective journeys across Italy. The series premiered on March 10, and you can watch them as they learn what makes Italy and Italian culture so special.
In one episode of the series, the trio meets with an Italian expert who teaches them all there is to know about the very best food, music and sport Italy has to offer. In another episode, Jack Whitehall goes on a culinary tour through Tuscany. He meets up with Italian TV presenter and blogger Chiara Maci as they taste and cook different dishes. He also learns how to make gelato from the finest gelato makers and the art of pasta making from Italian nonnas.
"I like to think that I'm always pretty easy-going, as someone that doesn't like to sit still, the reality is life's a bit chaotic" Whitehall said about his experience. He went on to say, “who better to learn how to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures than those famed for their love of long lunches, indulgent simple dishes and riposo? Live Italian was an inspiring and, at times, 'interesting' adventure, where I learnt how to disconnect and find pleasure in the smallest of things."
In the series, Maya Jama teamed up with Italian singer, actress and presenter Lodovica Comello to learn how important music is in Italian culture, especially in the streets of cities like Milan. In the final episode, Lawrence Dallagio teams up with former Italian rugby players like Martin Castrogiovanni and faces off in some of Italy’s traditional Sports challenges.
