While it may have taken Texas native Bianca Sharma 10 years to achieve her dream, it has finally been done.
The Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel and Spa sits in an old Italian monastery located on the Amalfi coast. Sharma and her sons were on vacation when they noticed the monastery was abandoned. It then took her 10 years to turn it into the hotel and spa that it is today.
The hotel has 20 rooms and suites, each room has a view of the ocean. These rooms were once home to the nuns that inhabited the monastery. The hotel restaurant allows you to experience fine dining without having to go to a Michelin-star restaurant. Chef Alfonso Crescenzo showcases the local meat, seafood, and produce all the while paying homage to the monastic lifestyle.
The spa offers a complete wellness experience. The Monastero draws from Mediterranian Gardens, using products from Santa Maria Novella, creating a sanctuary for wellness and relaxation on the Amalfi Coast.
