Lady Gaga announced that she had received a nomination by the Motion Picture Academy for her fourth Oscar nomination. She was nominated for co-writing the single “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick with BloodPop. The nomination for the power ballad is for best original song.

The 36-year-old singer's nomination is historic. She is the first artist to receive three nominations in the category following nominations in 2016 and 2019.
In 2016, she received a nomination for the Academy Award for her song “Til it Happens to You” from the movie “The Hunting Ground.”
In 2019, Gaga also received a nomination and won the Oscar for “Shallow” from the movie “A Star is Born,” featuring Bradley Cooper.
