The app caters to all sorts of users and interests. For the Italian American community, you will find comedians, chefs, and other personalities.

Growing Up Italian - @growingupitalian

Started by three cousins, Growing Up Italian is the most popular Italian Instagram pages in the world. Rocco Loguercio, Michela Curcio, and Sabino Curcio were born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They were raised by immigrant parents from different towns in the Campagna region of Italy. Rocco, Michela, and Sabino knew their family was different from a young age. While other kids were out playing on the weekend, this trio of cousins helped their family makes ends meet. 

Growing up in an immigrant family is unique, and the three cousins wanted to share their experiences with others. This small idea and gesture of goodwill to bridge with like-minded Italians through social media ended up being the blueprint for a social media conglomerate. 

Sebastian Maniscalco – @sebastiancomedy

Sebastian Maniscalco went from working at the Four Seasons Hotel and headlining Bowling Alleys to selling out Madison Square Garden. All his comedic material is based on growing up in an Italian Immigrant family which makes his comedy unique and extremely relatable to first- and second-generation Italian families. 

His father immigrated to the United States from Sicily, which serves as the basis of his material. Maniscalco has had several successful comedy specials on Netflix. Clips of his Netflix specials are often featured on his Instagram page, which he regularly updates.

Cugine - @meals_by_cug 

There isn’t a person on the planet who doesn’t know who Cugine is. From megastars like Drake to world-renowned chefs, it’s likely everyone now knows the saying, “Take care, brush ya hair.” With his authentic New York accent, Cugine made his bones traveling to restaurants around the tri-state area, offering a rating of their food on his “Madone” scale. Before becoming a full-time social media influencer, Cug was a cook. 

Chris Distefano - @chrisdcomedy

There probably isn’t anything Chris Distefano isn’t afraid to say. Distefano is one of the most unvarnished comedians in the game. His big break was a standout performance on MTV’s talking heads franchise Guy Code/Girl Code. He went on to star in the IFC sitcom Benders and served as co-host of Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster

Recently, Distefano starred in, and co-executive produced the Sony/CBS pilot Distefano, based on his life. In July 2021, Chris hosted Backyard Bar Wars, a home renovation series for the WarnerMedia cable network.

Distefano’s Netflix special, Speshy Weshy was released on May 3, 2022, and has received rave reviews. 

Lil “Mo” Mozzarella - @lilmomozzarella 

Lil “Mo” Mozzarella is one of the biggest Italian American social media personalities in the game. Whether it’s food reviews or semolina smacks, there’s always something worthwhile to watch on his social media channels. Lil “Mo” has popularized many of the most iconic Italian American social media sayings. Whether it be “neck bone,” “pepper neck,” “bring ya wallet,” or “hit you with a semolina.”

Lil “Mo” has slowly ventured outside of social media as his career continues to grow. He’s now venturing into stand-up comedy, where he performs in front of fans across the tristate area. He recently stared in Nicholas Heller’s (New York Nico) film Out of Order which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. 

Joey Gorga - @joeygorga 

Reality television star, Joey Gorga, co-stars in, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” series on Bravo TV.  Gorga has since became one of the most popular characters on the show. 

On his Instagram page, followers get the chance to have an exclusive look at Gorga’s life, where he often posts about his off-screen friendship with his fellow cast members. Gorga also offers advice to followers, with weekly quotes of inspiration that he curates himself.

Melissa Gorga - @melissagorga 

Like her husband, Joe, Melissa rose to superstardom after starring in “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Melissa’s Instagram is flooded with star-studded pictures of her life in New Jersey. This includes the many family outings she has with Joe and her kids. 

However, her Instagram account offers more than just an off-screen look at her personal life. Melissa started a clothing company, Envy by Melissa Gorga, offering patrons a celebrity style of fashion. She models for several companies whose products she regularly features.

Giada De Laurentiis- @giadadelaurentiis

Italian American chef, writer, and television personality, Giada De Laurentiis is one of the most recognizable faces from the Food Network. She hosted the Food Network show, Giada at Home, where she moved beyond just cooking Italian meals, but focused on cooking for friends and family. She has also been a regular appearance on NBC's Today. 

While not only a chef, De Laurentiis is the founder of catering buisiness GDL Foods. She owns two restaurants on the Las Vegas strip. Opened in 2014 "Giada," is located in the Cromwell. The second, "Pronto by Giada" has residency in Caeser's Palace. De Laurentiis also has nine books published including titles, "Everyday Italian: 125 Simple and Delicious Recipes," "Everyday Pasta," and "Giada's Italy." 

Nicky Smeriglio - @Nickysmigs 

Since September of 2020, Nicky Smeriglio’s life was never the same. He went viral on social media after his TikTok impersonation of Sebastian Maniscalco took over the internet. Smeriglio’s impression received accolades from Maniscalco himself, which earned him screen time on the Jimmy Kimmel show where Maniscalco showcased his video. 

Smeriglio moved to New York City recently and tours the country showcasing his comedy. 

National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) - @niafitalianamerican

Founded in 1975, the National Italian American foundation is an organization dedicated to promoting and persevering Italian culture and heritage in the United States. The organization is based in Washington D.C. where they work to strength relations between the United States and Italy. 

Every year, NIAF celebrates the great legacy of Italians in America at its Anniversary Gala.  Strategically set during Italian American heritage month, the gala is held every October and is usually attended by the President of the United States and other major political figures. Since its inception, NIAF has honored major Italian American personalities like Frank Sinatra and Joe Di Maggio. 

Premium Pete - @premiumpete 

Premium Pete has his hands in every aspect of the entertainment business. His jobs range to anything from distributing his family's 100-year-old pasta sauce recipe, managing his own successful podcast (The Premium Pete Show), producing podcasts and scripted shows for major networks as well as launching his acting career in the upcoming Armand Asante film, Don Q.  

However, this pales in comparison to the story of where Pete started. In his youth, Pete got mixed up with the wrong crowd and vowed he would never return to the darkness that once consumed his life. Crediting the positive influence of his Italian family, Pete turned his life around by using his passion for the retail industry. Today, Pete serves as a positive example that anyone can change. Erin Coscarelli – @erincoscarelli 

Erin Coscarelli is an Italian American sportscaster and media personality. Erin is studio host at Silver and Black Productions, a studio owned and operated by the Las Vegas Raiders. She also co-hosted one of ABC’s newest competition series, The Ultimate Surfer.

During the offseason, Coscarelli regularly highlights female-owned businesses on her Instagram account in a series titled, “Women Crush Wednesday (WCW).” WCW is her offseason passion project with the intent of supporting women-owned brands, especially those impacted by the pandemic, across the United States.

Coscarelli, who’s a second-generation Italian American, is outwardly proud of her heritage. She has been featured in several Italian-themed publications.

Rossella Rago - @rossellarago

Rossella Rago is one of the original and most accomplished Italian American content creators. She is a first-generation Italian American from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Her family comes from Mola di Bari, a small fishing village in the region of Puglia.

Rossella published three cookbooks She is the host of the cooking show and food webisode series, Cooking with Nonna. For each episode of the show, Rossella invites an Italian American nonna to cook with her and share traditional Italian recipes and fond memories of her childhood in Italy. She is the author of Cooking with Nonna and Cooking with Nonna: A Year of Italian Holidays.

Anthony Rodia - @rodiacomedy

Rodia started making videos on Facebook with viral filters portraying his Italian family at the height of the coronavirus lockdown. These videos spread like wildfire amongst the Italian community in America. Rodia went from making comedic videos in his home to headlining comedy shows across the country. 

His most notable characters, Uncle Vinny, and weekly Road Rage Wednesday skits have brought him to the top of the Italian comedic genre. 

Steve Martorano - @steve_martorano 

Steve Martorano grew up in South Philly with every odd imaginable stacked against him. After years of struggling to make ends meet, Steve moved to Ft. Lauderdale and opened a new restaurant on Oakland Park Boulevard called Café Martorano. Today, Café Martorano has become a national sensation. The restaurant expanded into three additional locations including Las Vegas, New Atlantic City, and Pittsburgh. Martorano published two books “Yo Cuz! My Life, My Food, My Way and “It Ain’t Sauce, It’s Gravy: How Food Saved my Life”

Pasta Queen - @the_pastaqueen

With over 1.7m instagram followers, Nadia Caterina Munno aka "The Pasta Queen" brings telenovela drama into each of her cooking videos. Munno comes from a long line of pata makers. In the 1800's her family even started a pasta factory in Southern Italy. She got her start cooking gnocchi with her Nonna Caterina, a name that was passed down to her. Cooking pasta isn't just her specialty, it's in her blood. 

Munno's goal is to share her love of pasta, combined with her Nonna's knowledge to families all over the world. She wants people to "see, experience, and have fun with her in the kitchen." Outside of cooking pasta, the Pasta Queen Collection, is an heirloom collectin of pots and pans that represent fun, gorgeousness, and quality. Danielle Caminiti - @haveucoveredinthekitchen

Before the coronavirus pandemic, Danielle Caminiti was a successful lawyer with a thriving business. When covid shut the courts down, Danielle turned to another passion of hers. As a mom and self-employed litigation lawyer, pre-pandemic she loved to cook in her free time. Due to covid restrictions, working from home meant more flexibility in her schedule and more time for recipe tests. Danielle started a food Instagram page showcasing her homemade recipes and delicious twists on authentic Italian cuisine. 

Today, Danielle is a rising star in the social media influencing game. Danielle authored and self-published a cookbook titled, “From Courtroom to Cucina.”

Jimmy Big Muscles - @jimmybigmuscles 

Chicago normally wears the crown as the center of Italian heritage in the Midwest, but Jimmy Big Muscles and his family are giving the windy city a run for its money. Jimmy’s family was recently featured on Sal Valentinetti’s YouTube series, “Get in the Car.” In this series, Sal visits Little Italy’s across the country and gives viewers an in-depth tour of iconic Italian enclaves in his city of choice. 

Jimmy, who served as Sal’s guide in Pittsburgh, visits Pennsylvania Macaroni Company (known as Penn-Mac), one of the oldest Italian markets in the country. Penn-Mac is special to Jimmy and his large Italian family, who are the center of his viral social media content. Jimmy’s Tiktok and Instagram pages cover his family’s traditions and recipes for authentic Italian cuisine. 

Chiara Ferragni - @chiaraferragni

Italian businesswoman and fashion designer, Chiara Ferragni is more than just Leo and Vitto's mama on instagram. Ferragni is the founder of Chiara Ferragni brand. The company started in 2013 as a fashion, yet pop shoe brand, and has evolved featuring more than just shoes. In 2016, the brand moved to global expansion, launching pop-up stores in major cities around the world. Ferragni has been recognized by Forbes magazine in Forbes 30 under 30, Forbes "Top Fashion Influencers,"  and one of "the most influential moms in the fasion industry" by Footwear News.

Italian American Baseball Foundation (IABF) - @iabf_official

The IABF started in 2016 with an inaugural dinner honoring Hall of Famer Mike Piazza. The Italian American Baseball Foundation (IABF) is a registered 501c3 charity committed to the future of baseball & softball for Italian & Italian American youths on the high school, college, and professional levels.

Their primary focus is developing young talent both in the US and Italy.

Anthony Sciarratta

Anthony Sciarratta was born in Maspeth, New York, to Italian American parents. His debut novel, Finding Forever: A 1970s Love Story, was originally self-published before reaching major-market publication with Post Hill Press. Anthony received exposure for his work using a series of grassroots social media campaigns. Currently, Anthony produces viral social media content for small businesses across New York City. He also hosts a podcast titled, Breaking Bread, where he features notable members of the Italian American community.
